Third Tuesdays at 7:30-9:00 pm with Ernie Isaacs in Room 3
Insight (vipassana) meditation, taken from the teachings of the Buddha, is a process of cultivating peacefulness in the mind and openness in the heart. It is learning to live in the present moment so you can ride more easily with the ups and downs in your life. It is learning to experience thoughts and feelings with equanimity, to enrich relationships.
The evening consists of sitting meditation with instructions, a dharma talk about some aspect of the teachings, and loving kindness practice.
Ernest Isaacs, MFT, has been practicing insight meditation since 1977 and has been leading this group since the late 1990s. He is a psychotherapist in private practice in Lafayette. For more information, contact Ernie at (510) 526-0711.
