The Mindful Way Through Emotional Distress



The Mindful Way Through Emotional Distress is a 4-week class offered by Brenlee Reida, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. This class is based on the work of Segal, Williams and Teasdale (2002) and their Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) as well as the work of Jon Kabat-Zinn and the UMass Medical Center’s Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program. Established in 1979, research on this program’s efficacy has demonstrated its effectiveness in helping people recover more quickly from stressful events, resulting in numerous emotional and physical health benefits.

Join Brenlee Reida, LPCC as we engage in this experiential journey of utilizing mindfulness –based cognitive therapy to free ourselves from emotional distress. Brenlee is a trained facilitator in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy for Depression and Mindfulness-based Relapse Prevention with the University of California San Diego Center for Mindfulness.

Workbook: $10 payable the first day of class.

Not recommended as a DROP-IN group as the material builds on itself each week.
